Green Policy
We believe it is both economically rational and environmentally responsible to implement green practices and strategies that improve tenant satisfaction and the financial and environmental performance of the buildings we manage.
Lincoln Property Company is a U.S. Green Building Council member and has been an Energy Star partner since 1999. Lincoln is a leader in the Midwest achieving four LEED – Existing Building and Maintenance (EBOM) certifications. We operate each property consistent with sustainable practices.
Over 43 million square feet of Lincoln-managed properties nationally are benchmarked in Energy Star Portfolio Manager with an average overall score of 75. Over a two year period (2009-2010), Lincoln has achieved an 8.8% reduction in energy consumption as measured in the Energy Star program.
Lincoln’s National Green Council provides training and standards for green practices at each property we manage. Lincoln’s Green Council has implemented base line energy and sustainability measurements on 203 properties nationally. LEED gap analysis is performed on every managed property and property business plans reflect sustainable operating practices and recommendations to clients for achieving LEED certification.
