LPC made their second annual volunteer appearance at PAWS Chicago this week – big thank you to Diane, Georgia, Meaghan, Jordan, and Erin for volunteering and trekking through the snow to make it there. With the help of individual Lincoln donors and partnership with the 120 N. LaSalle building Management Team, we were able to pull together a full trunk load of donation items for PAWS that will help support animals in the Chicagoland area.
While at the shelter, volunteers had the opportunity to help prepare for PAWS Chicago’s big gala, Animal Magnetism, coming up on Friday, March 24th. PAWS extends the invitation to all of LPC and their pets, more information can be found at: http://www.pawschicago.org/events-dog-training/fundraising-events/animal-magnetism/
PAWS is a no-kill shelter that continues to invest to make Chicago the first no-kill city. Annual euthanasia rates in the city are down 77% since PAWS Chicago was founded, and for the first time the annual euthanized total dropped below 10,000 in 2014. We are proud to be able to contribute to this initiative, and look forward to participating in future PAWS volunteer opportunities.
